Tennis - Don’t be a hero on court, be consistent

It doesn’t matter how powerful you hit the ball. It doesn’t matter if your serve is amazing.

It is much better to be hitting the ball a little slower but making it 9 out of 10 times instead of hitting it much harder but making it only 3 out of 10 times.

The number one rule of any tennis match is to be consistent. Too many players fall victim to the hero syndrome. They go for too much, they try to blast the ball, they go for the lines, basically they defeat themselves by trying to play amazing tennis.

Don’t be a hero on court, be consistent.

A better player is someone who hits consistently and wins matches. Not the one who hits powerful shots that look good.

If your opponent breaks down before you, you’ll win the match.
